Plus Size Model Lands International Elle Cover
It’s official: French Elle has effectively said “j’adore” to 21-year-old Australian model Robyn Lawley by putting the plus-size beauty on the cover of their latest ‘Spécial Rondes’ issue (translation: body issue).
Robyn, who also appears in a 10-page editorial inside the magazine, is represented by Elite Model Management. And the blog Frockwriter has reported that this won’t be the last international job Robyn has landed this month.
“Monday and Tuesday this week in New York, we can reveal that Lawley, an Australian size 14, shot an editorial and cover try for the June issue of [a] far more prestigious European fashion title,” the blog reported. Oh, we’re intrigued. Watch out Crystal Renn!

This is good to see. So many young adults (boys and girls) are having body image problem. It is nothing new . This has been going on for ages. It just got worst because in too many media people are seeing rock hard abs, on movies if your not one of the well know celebrity than it is like saying people won’t want to watch you if your old or fat. I applaud Elle for placing a plus size person onto their cover. This will show some of the young adults it is okay to not be the same size as someone else your still hot!
So true and there should be more of these roles for women and men out there. Embrace all sizes not just one! good on Elle, at least its one step forward.
